A new JZ series shaft sinking winch, manufactured by Hebi Wanfeng Mining Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., has been successfully installed and commissioned at a customer’s shaft construction site. The equipment is part of a major vertical shaft development project aimed at expanding underground access and increasing ore transportation efficiency.
The JZ shaft sinking winch, known for its stable performance and robust structural design, is widely used in shaft sinking operations for lifting rock buckets, tools, and construction materials. The model delivered to the customer includes Wanfeng’s standard safety configuration: hydraulic disc braking, depth indication, overload protection, and fully digital variable-frequency control. These features ensure smooth operation during frequent lifting cycles, a key requirement in shaft sinking environments.
Highlights from the customer site:
The winch was installed on a reinforced steel platform adjacent to the shaft opening.
After alignment and load testing, the equipment achieved stable hoisting performance with accurate depth indication throughout the test cycles.
The customer team reported that the hydraulic braking system operated smoothly, providing safe deceleration even during emergency stop simulations.
The paired shaft sinking bucket and head sheave system also performed reliably, ensuring efficient removal of spoil during excavation operations.
During the commissioning process, Wanfeng’s technical engineers provided on-site training to the client's operators, covering equipment operation, daily inspection, and troubleshooting procedures. The customer stated that the winch’s performance exceeded expectations and will significantly enhance the progress of their shaft sinking project.
With increasing global demand for reliable shaft construction equipment, the JZ and JZA series shaft sinking winches continue to be recognized for their durability, safety, and adaptability to various geological conditions.
