From September 4th to 5th, 2020, according to the unified arrangement of the China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Awards Office, the 2020 China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Awards Heavy Machinery Industry Evaluation Conference was held in Chizhou City, Anhui Province. 23 industry renowned experts and professors from top ranked backbone enterprises, professional colleges, and research institutes in the national heavy machinery industry were invited to attend the meeting. Li Dongru, Deputy Secretary General of China Machinery Industry Federation and Director of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award Office, attended the meeting. Zhang Weixin, Deputy Secretary General and Evaluation Team Leader of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, presided over the meeting.
Director Li Dongru introduced the application status, evaluation rules, changes in evaluation indicators, and relevant requirements of the 2020 China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award. Zhang Weixin, the team leader, introduced the project application status, expert composition, award principles, evaluation work precautions, and evaluation work arrangements of the 2020 China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award Heavy Machinery Industry Evaluation Group.
More than 90 industry enterprises and universities independently or jointly submitted 56 evaluation projects in the annual heavy machinery industry, involving various types of products such as mining machinery, metallurgical machinery, lifting machinery, loading and unloading machinery, transportation machinery, parking equipment, large castings and forgings (large pressure vessels), control systems, etc. The project achievements include the invention of key core technologies and the application and industrialization of typical mechanical equipment technological innovation achievements. The declared project presents characteristics such as multiple innovative points, high technological content, high technical difficulty, good user evaluation, significant promotion of industry scientific and technological progress, and significant social and economic benefits.
In this professional evaluation, after discussions among various professional groups and key comments from the presiding experts, all experts conducted rigorous, serious, fair, and impartial selection. Through computer voting and statistics, a total of 26 industry recommended award-winning projects were selected, including 4 first prize projects, 10 second prize projects, and 12 third prize projects.
